August Monthly Talk! Shakespearean Daughter: The Life of Edwina Booth Grossman by Kate Taylor

There were few more in tune with the famous heroines of Shakespeare than Edwina Booth. The only child of tragedian Edwin Booth, Edwina grew up surrounded by the characters the theatre brought to life. Through triumph and tragedy, from patriotism to assassination, to her father’s duality of collected and over protective, the course of Edwina’s life often mirrored the tales that unfolded on stage.

The presentation will be August 17, 2019. All of our talks are free to the public and begin at 1 pm in the Exhibit Building. Seating is limited, so please come early!

The Mudd House Museum is open from 11 am to 4 pm for guided tours. The last tour begins at 3:30 pm. Tours of the House are $7 for adults, $2 for children aged 6-11, and children 5 and under are free.
