Take a Virtual Tour!

Since you can’t come to the museum due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we decided to bring the museum to you! We are very excited to launch a virtual tour of the museum to commemorate the 155th anniversary of the assassination of President Lincoln. Please enjoy a “walk” through the museum and learn about some of the artifacts! This tour can be viewed on a desktop, mobile device, or tablet. The most immersive way to enjoy the tour is in “virtual reality” mode for those of you with a cellphone and VR headset!

Please be sure to click on the gear symbol in the upper right hand corner and turn “narration on” so you can hear the introduction. Each room can be viewed in 360 degrees, so please be sure to “look around.” Click the room name in the lower left corner of the screen to learn its importance in history! Click on the hot spot symbols to learn more about selected artifacts. Move from room to room by clicking the left and right arrows on the bottom of the screen. We hope you enjoy the museum!

We have created a scavenger hunt worksheet for any educators or parents looking for a companion lesson to accompany the tour. It can be downloaded from our “Educational Resources” tab at the top of our homepage.

The tour will be archived under its own “virtual tour” tab on the main page for easy access.

Enjoy!

    1. We just checked on desktop and mobile platforms and it seems to be working. Sometimes it is picky with the browser that one uses. We’ve been told that Chrome seems to be the best. Please let us know if it continues to be an issue. Thank you!
